Ozzy Osbourne won two Grammy awards on Sunday, February 5th.
Sharing his gratitude for winning the two prizes, Osbourne commented:
“I’m one lucky motherf**ker to have won the ‘Best Rock Album’ Grammy.
”I was blessed to work with some of the greatest musicians in the world and Andrew Watt as my producer on this album.
”Winning the ‘Best Metal Performance’ was equally gratifying being that the song featured my longtime friend and Black Sabbath bandmate, Tony Iommi.”
In the “Best Rock Album” category, Ozzy’s competition included the following artists and albums:
- The Black Keys, “Dropout Boogie
- Elvis Costello & the Imposters, “The Boy Named If”
- Idles, “Crawler”
- Machine Gun Kelly, “Mainstream Sellout”
- Spoon, “Lucifer on the Sofa”
In “Best Metal Performance”, Ozzy was up against:
- Ghost, “Call Me Little Sunshine”
- Megadeth, “We’ll Be Back”
- Muse, “Kill or Be Killed”
- Turnstile, “Blackout”
