During a recent conversation with Loaded Radio, Steel Panther’s Satchel said that Motley Crue’s Vince Neil looks really good and he’s taking care of himself.
Read below what the guitarist said:
“I think Nikki (Sixx) had more of an issue with us than Tommy, or maybe they both did because they thought we were bagging on Vince (Neil). But I think what Michael Starr meant when he said what he said about Vince was…
”It was just a lighthearted jab at how b*tching Vince was back in 1983 compared to how he is now.
”But I’ll tell you what: I saw pictures of Vince recently, and he looks really good; he’s taking care of himself. So I wish all those guys the best. I like Motley Crue.”
Earlier during an appearance on 2020’d Podcast, Steel Panther guitarist Satchel talked about their relationship with Motley Crue.
When asked about Nikki Sixx, he said (transcribed by UG):
“Oh, I’ve heard a few things from Nikki Sixx but nothing that I can repeat…
“Nikki Sixx hates Steel Panther, I don’t know why he hates us so much. We could get along so well. We both make fun of Vince Neil – he is an easy target, he’s low-hanging fruit.
“When you have that much talent and that much… I mean, he’s a great-looking guy.”
Earlier Satchel had expressed his opinion on MOTLEY CRUE’s live sound.
Here’s what Satchel said:
“Nikki Sixx, I don’t think anybody really gives a s*it how well he plays the bass.
“Listen, everybody loves Motley Crue, everybody loves those songs.”
“I give it up for Crue — I love ’em; they’re great. But I’ve seen Motley Crue a bunch of times, and they’ve never sounded great live. But nobody gives a s*it.
He should be glad that they don’t really have to sound great live. Vince [Neil] has never been a great live singer. Who gives a s*it? They’ve got great songs.
Listen, we toured with those guys, and I think [Nikki] said two words to me the whole f*cking tour.
I love those guys. They can hate us as much as they want. We’re gonna keep on f*cking rocking.
Those guys are great. And if [Nikki] wants to bag on us, that’s cool. We’re a great live band. If he wants to come out and see us some time and jam with us, he can sit in with us and I’ll tell him all the right notes to play on the bass.”
