Below you can watch video fan-filmed footage of guitarist Marty Friedman reuniting with Megadeth at Tokyo, Japan’s Budokan on February 27th.
The former Megadeth guitarist hit the stage to perform three classic band songs: “Countdown To Extinction”, “Tornado Of Souls” and “Symphony Of Destruction”.
Marty Friedman, a former member of MEGADETH, will perform with the band as a special guest on our one-time global live stream from Tokyo, Japan’s storied Budokan Arena on February 27 for the first time in almost 23 years!
Earlier today, there was a press event in Tokyo with all the members of Megadeth.
Apparently, the reporter said Dave Mustaine has become a ‘mild’ person which triggered Mustaine.
Watch the video below.
MEGADETH’s main man Dave Mustaine comments:
“Marty and I have remained friends for over 23 years since we last played together. However, I hear his music every night, and he still is among the top guitar players I’ve ever heard. This is an amazing treat for the fans, as well as myself. To be honest, I may drift off while listening to Kiko and Marty play together!”.
Three years ago, when Friedman was given the chance to participate in MEGADETH’s Rust In Peace lineup reunion, money started to influence his decision.
At the 2015 NAMM convention in Anaheim, he and drummer Nick Menza met with Mustaine and former bassist David Ellefson to discuss reuniting.
