Singer Sammy Hagar told Las Vegas Review-Journal that his supergroup Sammy Hagar & The Circles will play two shows in Nevada this summer, where he also mentioned that the group will play more Van Halen songs during the upcoming shows.
Sammy said:
“Michael and I will feature what we call ”The Other Half”, with a lot more Van Halen, even a few early songs.
”We debuted this band in Cabo at my birthday bash, years ago, and it makes all the sense in the world that there is no one out there supporting the Van Halen catalog, which has some of the greatest rock songs ever written.”
The two shows will take place on July 14th at Harvey’s amphitheater in Lake Tahoe and July 15th at Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas.
Earlier, there’s a snippet shared by Sammy from a concert with Van Halen during their Sammy Hagar era and reminisced how ‘crazy’ his performance was.
The video captions:
“Sammy: Thank you, Rolling Stone, for reminding me how great this band really was. Wow. Those were the days you wanna talk about being to the edge. Literally. What was I thinking?
Mike: Last Saturday night at the Strat, The Circle jammed ‘Ain’t Talking Bout Love,’ had a blast singing lead vocal! The Circle is working on other Van Halen deep cuts, and I can’t wait to play them throughout the year on tour. We will continue to wave the Van Halen flag high!”
Sammy Hagar commented on the video, saying:
“I was completely out of my mind.“

Gotta sound better that that other lead singer
The Hagar era completely obliterates the DLR. DLR was a decent frontman who couldn’t sing.
Hagar was a game changer
