Country music icon Dolly Parton has revealed that MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx “played his butt off” on her forthcoming rock album, which is highly anticipated by her fans. Dolly expressed her gratitude to Nikki’s wife, Courtney, in a letter she wrote after Courtney sent Dolly a Bouquet Box arrangement.
Courtney shared Dolly’s letter on social media along with a heartwarming message, “Nikki played on Dolly Parton’s long-awaited rock album and I had the chance to send Miss Dolly a Bouquet Box arrangement! Receiving this fabulous letter from Dolly herself today was such an incredible moment, and a memory I will cherish forever! Thanks Dolly, and it would be a dream to meet you too one day!!!”.
Nikki Sixx, in turn, shared Courtney’s post on his social media and complimented Dolly, “What a class act Dolly is.”
In addition to Nikki, Dolly’s upcoming rock album will feature other renowned rock musicians such as John 5, the guitarist of MÖTLEY CRÜE. John recently shared the news of his participation in the album through his Twitter account. He posted a throwback photo of him with Dolly and tweeted, “I’m so honored that I got the opportunity to play guitar on one of the songs on the upcoming @DollyParton album. Words cannot describe how exciting this is.”
Dolly’s album is one of the most awaited releases of the year, with her fans eager to hear the country music icon’s take on classic rock hits. Dolly revealed in a previous statement that the album will include covers of classic rock songs like “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin, “Purple Rain” by Prince, “Can’t Get No Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones, and “Freebird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Dolly’s decision to venture into rock music was motivated by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a well-deserved honor for the multi-talented artist. The upcoming album is expected to showcase Dolly’s versatility as an artist and bring her fans a new perspective on her musical prowess.
