Adam Lambert was recently interviewed by Advocate, where he discussed various aspects of his career, the community, and his involvement with the legendary band Queen. When asked about his potential fatigue from performing with the band, Lambert responded with a concise and resolute answer:
“No, not at all. Queen’s essence lies in uplifting people, and at every concert, the audience’s enthusiasm soars as we deliver those timeless big hits. The experience never loses its freshness, and I consider it a privilege to keep Freddie’s music alive. Moreover, witnessing the sheer joy on the faces of Brian [May] and Roger [Taylor] when we perform is truly remarkable. The entire journey is simply awe-inspiring.”
The sentiments expressed by Lambert are echoed by guitarist Brian May. Despite suffering a heart attack in 2020, May has made a remarkable recovery. Even after being knighted by King Charles, he eagerly anticipates future tours. May shared:
“(Queen are) contemplating a tour, I can reveal that. I hope to maintain good health, as I currently find myself in a commendable state of well-being, which is always delightful. The path hasn’t been easy, and there were moments when I doubted I would ever do it again. However, it appears that we are all doing well, and we are seriously considering embarking on a tour. Naturally, our tours are of the highest caliber, demanding immense energy and fitness. If we postpone until October or any later date, I will focus on improving my physical fitness from this point onward.”
Having been performing with Queen since 2011, Lambert is currently preparing for an upcoming North American tour with the band, scheduled to commence on October 4th. In addition to the tour, the singer made his debut in the film industry this year with the movie Fairyland, which premiered globally at the renowned Sundance Film Festival.
