AC/DC’s most recent studio album, titled ‘Power Up,’ was released in 2020, and since then, news about the band’s future recording plans has been scarce. However, Brian Johnson, the lead vocalist, recently hinted at the possibility of working on new material in the coming months during an interview on the Fuelling Around podcast.
Just two months ago, the Australian rockers announced their participation in the Power Trip Festival, which will mark their first live show since 2016. Johnson disclosed that the band members are all eager to reunite, and this reunion may also result in new music as their creative inspiration appears to be flowing once again.
Brian said:
“It does take a lot of time to get a band like AC/DC together again. Most of the crew were out working with other people. Trying to get those guys back together again was tough, but I’ve got my fingers crossed – everything is going ok. The most important thing about it all is the eagerness we all feel; the juices are running again.”
Reassembling a band like AC/DC is no easy task, as most of the crew members were involved in other projects. However, Johnson remains hopeful, stating, “The most important thing is the enthusiasm we all share; the creative spark is reignited.”
Moreover, the frontman expressed his excitement about sharing the stage with music icons such as Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N’ Roses, and Metallica at the upcoming festival. He sees this gathering of rock and roll bands as a powerful statement that reaffirms the legitimacy of the genre. Johnson added, “It’s going to be a fantastic event. I’ll have the opportunity to reconnect with my old pals, particularly with Ozzy coming out of retirement. The Guns N’ Roses boys, the Metallica boys, and the Iron Maiden boys – all in one place, it’s going to be one hell of a party! The festival will be held in a breathtaking valley near Coachella, although I prefer to stay out of that kind of thing. I just want to show up, give it my all, and rock the stage until I can’t anymore.”

Come on Brian get the boys back together and let’s have a tour AC DC need to tour and show everyone that the have still got it I am sure if the who can do it AC DC and have a fantastic tour of the UK Bring them to Merseyside long live AC DC
I bet all the money in the world that either a tour or a bunch of dates will be announced after the power trip festival. Same with Maiden. Doubt they will tour together but if they were to tour together, that would make more money than the crue tour for sure.
AC/DC OVERDRIVE RE-RECORDED GREATEST HITS
Let’s do this
I would love to attend a great classic ACDC return. Who in their right mind, WOULDn’t?
If I get to see AC/DC, my musical wishlist will be complete. Can’t bring Lennon back from the dead. I’m in Louisiana. I couldn’t be so lucky to see them here , but I’m willing to travel. Y’all please stay healthy. Seeing this band will complete me! My adult children think I’m nuts. I simply love rock n roll!!
