Disturbed frontman David Draiman continues to express his discontent with Roger Waters through a series of call-outs on Twitter. In a direct message to Waters, Draiman pulled no punches, stating, “Roger Waters, you are a vile antis*mitic coward. You’re a stain on Pink Floyd’s legacy, touring the world and spreading Jew hatred filled with offensive stereotypes and misogyny. How tragic, pathetic, and sad.”
When a fan attempted to defend Waters, claiming the Pink Floyd singer was superior and more renowned, Draiman stood firm, asserting, “And is he therefore allowed to be a N*zi? Is that your opinion? This isn’t about who’s more famous. He automatically wins in that regard. But better? I am a better human being than Roger Waters could ever hope to be. There’s no contest there.”
This Twitter thread serves as a follow-up to Draiman’s recent tweet, criticizing Waters for wearing an SS officer uniform during a show in Berlin and accusing him of being an antisemite. Draiman’s earlier statement read, “Guess which antis*mitic piece of sh*t is up to his old tricks again, and actually taking it to a new level? He defends dictators, loves Putin, and embodies the opposite of everything he is supposed to represent. I present to you, Roger Waters.”
While Draiman’s words have garnered attention, others have also criticized Waters for his controversial comments. Notably, Polly Samson, wife of David Gilmour, referred to Waters as a “megalomaniac” following his remarks about the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Draiman’s vocal stance against Waters aligns with the disapproval expressed by many who find fault with Waters’ actions and statements. The Twitter exchange highlights the ongoing controversy surrounding Waters and the strong opinions shared by those who challenge his behavior and ideologies.
