Ratt’s frontman, Stephen Pearcy, recently sat down for an interview with Apettite For Distortion, where he opened up about an extraordinary moment shared with his long-time friend and original Guns N’ Roses drummer, Steven Adler. During the conversation, Pearcy revealed Adler’s disbelief over their survival and the trials they have overcome together.
Pearcy and Adler recently reunited during a show, with another one on the horizon. Reflecting on their reunion, Pearcy expressed their shared amazement, saying, “Can you believe that we’re still here, alive, and persevering through everything life has thrown at us? It’s incredible how we’ve remained friends all these years.”
The conversation also touched upon the Guns N’ Roses cassette tape that Adler had given Pearcy in their early days. Recounting their past encounters, Pearcy explained, “Whenever I returned from touring, someone would recommend a new band, and that’s how I got introduced to Stevie. We quickly became friends, and he eventually dropped by with a cassette, proudly declaring, ‘This record is finally finished.’ I listened to it and immediately predicted their immense success, telling them, ‘You guys are going to make it big.'”
Their recent joint performance took place on June 2 at Apache Casino in Lawton, where Adler’s solo band and Pearcy co-headlined, treating fans to a memorable night filled with Guns N’ Roses hits. Excited about the show, Adler expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m thrilled to be sharing the stage with Stephen Pearcy. Fans of GN’R and Ratt are in for an incredible experience at Apache Casino. These are musicians who live for performing live.”
