During a conversation with Classic Rock, late guitarist Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolfgang Van Halen, opened up about the reason some of Van Halen’s fans targetted him as ”the biggest enemy” since Wolfgang replaced classic group bassist, Michael Anthony.
Here’s what Wolfgang said:
“I was there to support my dad, but I was aware that I’d become the biggest enemy of every forty-to-fifty-year-old man out there in the world. It was something I didn’t know how to handle. That did a lot of damage to me.”
About his relationship with Michael Anthony, Wolfgang also said:
“Mike and I are very cordial. He’s a wonderful f**king guy. We talk, and it’s great.”
