In a recent interview with ‘Vermilion County First’, Brian May shed light on Queen’s upcoming endeavors, offering a glimpse into their prospective plans. The accomplished guitarist also addressed the much-anticipated prospect of a new album in collaboration with Adam Lambert, expressing a sense of optimism. May shared:
“The door is always ajar for creative possibilities. Nonetheless, our lives are now bustling with diverse commitments, preventing the round-the-clock dedication we once enjoyed in our youth.”
While the certainty of a forthcoming Queen album remains uncertain, May delved into his other fervent pursuits that occupy his time, elaborating:
“I devote substantial energy to various endeavors. My unwavering advocacy for animal welfare claims a significant portion of my attention. I champion the cause of wildlife preservation within our nation’s borders and, to some extent, internationally.”
In addition to his efforts in safeguarding wildlife, May divulged his engagement in scientific undertakings, elucidating:
“Engaging in scientific exploration is another facet of my life. I actively participate as an astrophysicist, immersing myself in spectroscopy for diverse unmanned and solar system-oriented missions, both under the aegis of NASA and ESA. Reflecting on this reality, it’s quite surreal – as a child, I harbored dreams of collaborating with genuine astrophysicists and space pioneers. To my astonishment, those aspirations have been realized.”
The band previously unveiled plans for a 14-date North American leg of their ‘Rhapsody Tour’, spanning from October 4 to November 11 in the preceding spring. Beyond North America, Queen has also disclosed a sequence of five tour dates in Japan, slated to commence on February 4 in Nagoya, culminating with performances on February 13-14 at the Tokyo Dome.
