Anthrax’s Joey Belladonna was recently interviewed by interview with Mike Hsu of the 100 FM The Pike radio, where he was asked if he was ever approached by someone from Journey about the possibility to sing with the rock group.
Here’s what Belladonna replied:
“No, and I’ve jammed with the… Many times I’ve done the crew soundcheck, and I’ve spent many days with the band overall. I don’t even wanna go into it, but we did a lot of stuff together here and there on shows that they did over the years.
”So, and I know ’em and I’ve been touch with Deen (Castronovo) a lot. But no, no one’s ever really asked me about joining or anything like that, which would’ve been interesting. […]
”You know, I would definitely be really interested in doing that.
”That would be great. Not that I think that that’s gonna happen, but, yeah, it would be great. I’d love that challenge. It would be great.”
Joey Belladona played sporadic shows with his Journey tribute band Beyond Frontiers.

Joey Belladonna didn’t give a green light to anything he’s just said no it be great no it be great no it be great. Nothing about replacing Arnel Pineda.
Well Band members come & Go. Hope he can make the same impact like Steve and Arnel. This two were irreplaceable.
Excuse me? There’s not a word saying that he’ll replace Arnel!!! Some respect please. That’s rude.
Joey Belladonna is open to it. It is up to Neil and Jonathan to give the “Green Light.”
They need to retire Journey permanently!! Neal and John have overstayed their talent! When Smith and Valory were fired, so was Journey! Quit trying to squeeze the money pit guys, it’s bone dry unless the original with Perry, Smith, and Valory return, otherwise your NOT Journey so don’t destroy what’s left of it Neal, put it to sleep!! 🤨
if you will replace Pineda cancel my ticket on Aug 25
He did not get the”Green Light”, Period. Stop trying to make something out of nothing.
