The Osbournes have returned, just as they promised. In the inaugural episode of their family podcast, Ozzy Osbourne shared crucial updates about his current health status. Unfortunately, the news is less than optimistic. The legendary Prince of Darkness candidly discussed the forthcoming fourth surgical procedure he is scheduled to undergo, a direct consequence of the injuries sustained in 2019. His reservations about the impending surgery were palpable:
“My lower back is the focus now, and I’ll be receiving an epidural soon. The latest findings indicate that while my neck has been successfully addressed, there are two vertebrae below my neck that were completely destroyed when the bike accident occurred. There’s nothing left of them. Frankly, I’m not entirely sure what the medical team is planning.”
Summarizing his current physical state, Ozzy added:
“At this moment, I’m experiencing significant pain and discomfort.”
Since 2019, Ozzy Osbourne has grappled with health issues of such magnitude that they forced him to step away from his illustrious musical career. His reluctance to return to touring stems from his fear of disappointing his devoted fanbase.
In 2019, he received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease and underwent surgery following a serious home accident. In a separate interview, his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, shared insights into the family’s challenging ordeal:
“It’s been an incredibly demanding journey for all of us.”
During the same 2020 interview, Ozzy recounted the surgical procedure and its necessity:
“After the surgery, I experienced numbness in my arm, and my legs would inexplicably go cold. I can’t say if that’s related to Parkinson’s or something else, but it’s a perplexing sensation. The real issue is that the surgery involved cutting nerves, and I had never encountered nerve pain before. It’s a strange feeling.”
In 2022, Ozzy faced yet another surgery due to his persistent chronic pain. In an interview, Sharon elaborated on the imperative need for this surgery:
“These metal plates had begun to shift, causing friction against his spinal cord. Some days, he would be in excruciating pain, literally brought to tears.”
