Richie Sambora recently made a guest appearance on the ‘Shred With Shifty’ podcast and gave Jon Bon Jovi the green light for a potential Bon Jovi reunion. When asked about the current status of their reunion plans and any progress, he responded:
“We’re in discussions about it. Yes, Jon Bon Jovi and I have been talking about it. There’s a significant demand for it, especially outside of the USA. We were also a massive band internationally, beyond our home country, which is something we’re proud of.”
Earlier in the year, Richie shared his thoughts on the reunion with People, stating:
“I’m aiming for the end of March or the beginning of April for the release of my solo music. We are actively discussing the Bon Jovi reunion as well. Personally, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to our fans around the world.”
During the summer, the guitarist appeared on the ‘Nights With Alice Cooper’ radio show, expressing his readiness to reunite with his former bandmate. Richie enthusiastically conveyed:
“No one has asked me yet, but if they did, I could jump into it tomorrow.”
While there haven’t been any new solo releases from Richie Sambora as of now, he shared with Shifty that he can no longer commit to extended periods on the road as they did in the past. He elaborated:
“Touring extensively, like when we played in Mumbai and traveled to various places for 16 to 18 months – you know how it was. We covered a lot of ground, met so many people who became friends. Maintaining those connections is important. But it’s a lot for me now. We’re exploring various options, and it all comes down to how it feels, you know?”

Yes does this mean a tour
This is not new. He has said this before. But Jons vocals are horrible!!!!! He destroyed his vocal cords. He can not carry a
Tune ( that could be also a hearing issue. But once you destroy your vocal cords to the point he has
There is no getting better. Even when he talks now he sounds like he has a very horse voice, that will not get better. Richie would probably have to carry the vocals. And to have one person that still has a voice and the leader does not make for a not good combination. Jons ego would have a hard time dealing with that.
And you know this how? Or is it just your opinion that he can’t “carry a Tune”.
Good point. Richie always carried Jon’s vocals but Jon has had too carry Richie literally every time he gets drunk.
And I disagree with you. Bon Jovi doesn’t need Richie Sambora, that’s why the band didn’t break up when he left, in first place. Did you forget about David Bryan and Tico Torres? They are members of the band too, do you remember ? They all agreed to keep the Band, to keep working together and they made the right choice, they decided to move on without him. If Richie left suddenly and just didn’t show up to play, that was his choice. Have you ever really listened the lyrics of “This House Is Not For Sale”?
The house is the Band, and the band isn’t over because they don’t want it to be over. They “sat each stone and hamered each nail, This House Is Not For Sale”.
Have you ever listened to the song
“I Ain’t Done Yet” ? Jon’s voice changed, but the band keeps selling out all the tickets of their Shows. The Band is going on tour in 2024, they already had shows booked in Brazil in the end of 2023.
Do you really think that would still happen, if Jon’s voice was as bad as you say? Of course not. Bon Jovi is doing really fine without Richie Sambora, and that’s the truth.
I think the band did fine without Ritchie and if they are going to do a 40th anniversary tour, Ritchie doesn’t need to be included. He left in the middle of the tour, no notice. I understand his family came first, but if you know things are starting to go south in the family, have the conversation with Jon that I may have to adjust the rest of the tour, but to not show up one day with no warning or no word and say you are done… well that screws your “brothers” royally! And what abut the fans you say you love and who were there for you and made you who you are today? Screwed them too. He could have put out a statement apologizing for his quick departure with no notice, but chose not too. And then never spoke to Jon again…. What kind of band mate does that.
Its an interesting perspective that ignores the fact that Jon’s greed has diluted the bands work. To say they have done fine with RS is a stretch, maybe touring wise but in terms of the quality of music the standard of songwriting has dropped exponentially.
The truth is it hasn’t been Bon jovi since Lost Highway. Its be the JBJ band led by someone who for some crazy reason things he’s Springsteen.
The band had an agreement before that tour on how long it would be and how many shows. Jon decided without discussing it to prolong it and that’s why Richie (without a T) left. For fans it was sudden, for the band not. Jon was stabbing Richie in the back while pretending to be his friend saying he supported him. It all came down to Jon’s ego, not Richie’s. Bon Jovi became Jon’s backing band instead of a group with equal members.
how much money do they need what r they brome give me a break
I disagree bonjovi are no where the same without Richie.
Done.
Sean.
