Skid Row’s Rachel Bolan recently discussed with Jeremy White Show, where he said that he would re-record some tracks from the band’s ”Subhuman Race” with the new singer Erik Gronwall.
Bolan first discussed what went wrong while recording 1995’s album ”Subhuman Race”, the last Skid Row album featuring former singer Sebastian Bach:
“It was the beginning of the end for the band, pretty much… Even more than the beginning of the end. The band was falling apart. It was evident that this (”Subhuman Race”) was, probably, gonna be the last record that we do, but the songs were rushed; I shouldn’t say rushed because we had some cool stuff but they were really torn apart.”
If he is willing to re-record some tracks from the 1995 album, Bolan said:
“Man, we were just following the process that made it successful. Let’s just do it the same way. It happens with every band, it is what it is.
”I still like some of the songs on that record. I would love to rerecord a few of those songs with Eric.”

Bad idea bro, leave Bach’s era alone. Try writing some new stuff.
Geez. That was their worst album. I wouldn’t recognize one song on it. I listened to it once and never popped it in again. Re-record some somgs off of the first two albums if you want to stir up some excitement. Don’t Re-record bad songs!
This is actually my favorite, Skid Row album… There were some amazing songs on that one
This is when I stopped listening. Bach was my idol
Totally disrespectful. The re-recorded songs would just be covers to real Skid Row/Bach fans. They were a great band but would not be great without Sebastian. Not many vocalists have the pipes that man had. Would pay any amount to see a reunion
Petty, not smart, immature, and pointless due to the poor writing on that album and a waste of all our time.
It doesn’t matter how good he can sing. It’s like Journey moving on without Steve.
There’s not a member in the audience, whose not thinking about who’d they rather have on stage singing those classics.
Do you wanna sell out concerts? Bury the hatchet with Sebastian and go out and make some money. You don’t have to marry the dude you just have to work with him and get through a tour. It’s the best shot that either Sebastian or the remaining members of Skid Row are going to have at making any substantial money.
Be grown ups and do a reunion concert tour in the twilight of your careers.
In today’s world, the last thing we need is more bad blood. Forgive and write some tunes.
SubHuman Race was awesome. It’s just too bad they had their problems and couldn’t tour for it
Maybe just accept the fact that Sebastian Bach is as important to Skid Row as Skid Row is to Sebastian Bach. Nothing either has done alone has come close to the self titled debut or Slave to the Grind.
Bach is Skid Row thats IT
