Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar is set to embark on the highly anticipated “The Best Of All Worlds” 2024 tour. Joining Hagar on this tour are seasoned musicians and long-time collaborators Michael Anthony (bass, backing vocals), Jason Bonham (drums), and, as revealed on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show,” Joe Satriani, a renowned guitarist, completing the lineup. Presented by Live Nation and featuring special guests LOVERBOY, the 28-date tour kicks off on July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and concludes on August 31 in St. Louis, Missouri. “We’re gonna go deep into the VAN HALEN catalog,” Hagar shared on “The Howard Stern Show.” Recognizing the need for Joe Satriani to delve into the VAN HALEN catalog, Hagar emphasized their plan to play both VAN HALEN classics and his own songs during the tour.

While Hagar and Anthony typically include five or six VAN HALEN songs in their set with THE CIRCLE, the upcoming tour aims to feature a mix of VAN HALEN classics, deep cuts, and Hagar’s solo hits. The decision to reunite for this tour comes almost 20 years after their 2004 reunion with Eddie and Alex Van Halen.

Regarding the challenge of learning legendary VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen‘s parts, Satriani said: “There are things that are so iconic, you have to nail it. But if you go deep with what he did live, he never played the same thing twice. He kept evolving; he kept pushing. He’d do the recorded version a little bit, but then he moved on.

“It’s a daunting task when you do the deep dive into what he did,” he continued. “But it’s good to start at the beginning, and then you just learn all his little improvs and you get the idea of what he was trying to do. It’s thrilling; it’s fun.”
