Former SLAYER guitarist Kerry King’s upcoming musical venture will bear the straightforward title ‘Kerry King.’ Although additional details about the project’s lineup are yet to be officially disclosed, excluding fellow Slayer alumnus Paul Bostaph (drums), the band’s logo has recently been revealed.
The group has confirmed its first show, with the project set to headline one of the side stages at the May 9th opening date of the upcoming ‘Welcome To Rockville’ festival. Fans can anticipate further live dates to be announced in the coming weeks and months.
Previous speculations suggested that Phil Anselmo of Pantera fame might be involved in the thrash guitarist’s new project.
There were also rumors circulating about the band being named Blood Reign. However, the latest update clarifies that Anselmo’s potential involvement remains uncertain. It is worth noting that there have been speculations suggesting that Anselmo might face consequences with Pantera due to an alleged ‘racist outburst’ at the 2016 Dimebash event, where he reportedly uttered “White Power” and displayed the N*zi salute.
