MÖTLEY CRÜE recently took the stage at K-Arena in Yokohama, Japan, treating their fans to a live performance. The concert has generated some fan-filmed video footage, allowing fans worldwide to relive the show.
Motley Crue fans in Japan reacted positively to the performance but also questioned the usage of background music throughout the performance.
Here are some of the points raised by the Japanese Crue fans:
“Nikki 100% playback”
“I was in the front section. Nikki hardly played a note. I could hear the bass rumbling from the speakers throughout.”
“They sound good, but not perfect enough for it to be a backing track. That’s what I like.”
“It was so hard to watch. It’s so sad.”
“His voice… Why do they keep on performing without addressing this obvious (and horrible) issue? No offense. It’s just legitimately terrible. Wow….”
“No amount of pyro, dancers, etc could undo Vince and his David Lee Roth approach to singing”
The icing on the cake was common from an American Crue fan, saying:
“Those poor Japanese people. It must be hard enough trying to grasp the English of the songs, then Vince comes over and sings them in a totally different language.”
