MÖTLEY CRÜE recently took the stage at K-Arena in Yokohama, Japan, treating their fans to a live performance. The concert has generated some fan-filmed video footage, allowing fans worldwide to relive the show.
CRÜE’s guitarist, John 5, recently had a conversation with Meltdown from WRIF radio in Detroit. He discussed the band’s collaboration with renowned producer Bob Rock on three new songs recorded earlier in the year. Among these tracks are “Dogs Of War” and a rendition of the classic BEASTIE BOYS hit, “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!).”
Regarding the release of these songs, John 5 mentioned that while he isn’t certain about the exact timing, there is a well-structured plan in place. He expressed his excitement for the forthcoming tracks, describing them as exceptional and heavy, with remarkable melodies and top-notch performances from the band members.
When asked about his involvement in the songwriting process, John 5 explained that they all participated together in a room. Collaborating with MÖTLEY CRÜE’s bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee was a familiar experience, as they had written together for years. However, working with Bob Rock was a unique element of the recording process. John 5 described how they recorded in a live room, a departure from his usual control room approach. This change allowed them to capture a different energy and was one of his most enjoyable recording experiences.
Following the hugely successful North American stadium tour in 2022, where they sold over 1.3 million tickets, MÖTLEY CRÜE and DEF LEPPARD are continuing “The World Tour” into 2023. They have now announced three exclusive Australian dates, extending their global reach with this highly anticipated tour. Both bands are eager to bring their show to fans worldwide, following the previous North American success.
