In a new statement that disappointed many fans, Mötley Crüe announced that the highly anticipated Crüe New Year’s Eve concert in Palm Springs has been canceled.
In the statement published on the band’s social media platforms, the band expressed their deep regret for this decision.
The reason given for the cancellation was the limited time allotted for the event, which caused unforeseen problems beyond the band’s control.
The statement read:
“It is with deep regret we must inform you the Crüe Year’s Eve show in Palm Springs is being canceled. The very short time frame to produce the event resulted in issues beyond our control. We look forward to seeing you all in 2024!”
Tommy Lee had some unfortunate things to say before the canceled New Year’s Eve concert. Regardless of the recent cancellation of their concert, Tommy Lee hyped up the event in an interview with the Desert Sun on November 18th. Tommy Lee’s enthusiastic comments had only gotten fans more excited before the concert was canceled. He stated:
“If I were to tell you details, I’d have to kill you. But it’s going to be one to remember, let’s just put it that way. The people, the place, the day — it’s going to leave a dent. It’s literally just an evening with the Crüe, man. Your own private New Year’s Eve show.”
He even had a poorly-aged comparison about the concert. He said:
“I think about all the New Year’s Eve kind of things that are happening, and none of them sound exciting to me. It’s definitely going to be more fun than a cruise ship show, that’s for sure.”
