Alex Van Halen recently ended his social media silence with a poignant Instagram post dedicated to his late brother, Eddie Van Halen.

Accompanied by a picture of the two, the drummer expressed the sentiment, “We miss you.”

Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie’s son, also took to social media to convey his longing and love for his father. Sharing a photo with Eddie, Wolfgang penned a heartfelt message, expressing a desire to celebrate his father’s 69th birthday with a hug, dinner, and a playful joke.

He lamented the absence of Eddie’s laughter and vowed to maintain a smile in his memory.

Notably, Alex Van Halen, who had largely stayed out of the public eye since Eddie’s passing in October 2020, previously shared a message in 2021. On his first birthday without Eddie, Alex expressed that the view from his drum set would never be the same and declared, “VH forever!”
