In recent remarks, guitarist John 5 affirmed Mötley Crüe’s enduring commitment to creating fresh music, applauding bassist and songwriter Nikki Sixx for his continuous creative output, noting Sixx’s knack for generating “amazing lyrics and great music.”
These comments come amidst heightened anticipation for new material from Mötley Crüe. Drummer Tommy Lee had previously raved about the upcoming songs, describing them as “insane” and singling out John 5’s guitar contributions. The guitarist himself had earlier acknowledged the distinctive experience of recording with the iconic hair metal band.
In an interview with the Illinois Entertainer, John 5 discussed the ongoing collaboration and suggested that the EP currently being crafted with legendary producer Bob Rock might not mark the conclusion of the band’s creative endeavors.
He said: “Just the other day, Nikki [Sixx] called me and he was playing guitar over the phone and he’ll play a riff, and he’ll sing this melody, and it sounded like it could be something off of ‘Too Fast For Love’. It’s just natural for him to write these songs that I have loved and lots of other people have loved. I think we’re always going to make new music, because, man, this guy is pumping out amazing lyrics and great music. When we all get together, it’s pretty magical.”
Notably, these optimistic discussions about new music occur against the backdrop of an ongoing legal dispute and feud involving longtime guitarist Mick Mars. Despite internal tensions, John 5 appears to remain unaffected by the ongoing conflict.
