In a new conversation with “Chris Akin Presents…”, guitarist Mick Mars was asked if any of the songs he recorded with former Motley Crue vocalist, John Corabi, will ever see the light of the day:
“There’s maybe one song if I redid it. It’s ‘Gimme Blood’, which would be perfect for, like, say, wrestling… But right now, I’m just gonna kind of leave them where they are.
”And one day, if I decide to [go], like, ‘Let’s dig this one up and see what we can do with it.’ But right now I’m on a whole different kind of a way of thinking, I guess.”
Last month, Mars addressed Corabi‘s absence from the guitarist’s upcoming debut solo album, “The Other Side Of Mars”, telling Marcelo Vieira of the Igor Miranda YouTube channel:
“[John] was doing… I really wanted him to sing on it, but I know he was busy with DEAD DAISIES and doing these other things. I don’t know… He was kind of, like, not adamant, but kind of unsure. John is a good friend of mine, and we both kind of decided that [we should] not repeat the ’94 album. Yeah, that kind of thing. I think we made the right choice to have him not to sing, even though he’s got an incredible voice.”
