Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine is suggesting that former band guitarist, Marty Friedman, will not join Megadeth on stage for their show in Argentina this spring.
During a new interview with Clarín, Dave Mustaine clarified and shot down the rumors of Marty Friedman joining the band for the show in Argentina:
“No, that’s not going to happen. He’s not going to play with us. I can promise you it won’t happen. Although, mind you, I love Marty and we had a great time playing together.
”I want to make it clear that there is nothing wrong; it just won’t happen.”
Marty’s brief return to Megadeth’s stage occurred twice in six months last year. He first rejoined the band in February 2023 at Tokyo, Japan’s Budokan, for a performance that included hits like ‘Countdown To Extinction’ and ‘Symphony Of Destruction.’
He made another appearance in early August 2023 at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany, where he played ‘Trust’ and ‘Tornado Of Souls.’
