Guitarist Mick Mars told Guitar World magazine about the time he was omitted from Motley Crue’s songwriting process after the band’s album ”Dr. Feelgood”:
“Without trying to be the butt man of anything, I was kind of left out of a lot of the band’s writing right after (1989’s) Dr. Feelgood.
”When ‘Generation Swine’ came out (1997), I was pretty much omitted, and New Tattoo (2000).”
The fifth studio album, ‘Dr. Feelgood,’ brought them commercial success despite the struggling recording process.
