Wolfgang Van Halen recently had a conversation with The Morning X With Barnes & Leslie where he discussed his relationship with former Van Halen singer, David Lee Roth, and he was asked why he thinks Lee Roth is calling him in such a ‘vile fashion’.
Wolfgang said:
“I guess I’m honored he even thinks about me as much as he seems to. I guess you have to take what he says with a grain of salt considering he also said that he wrote ‘Eruption’ and came up with the Frankenstein (Eddie Van Halen’s red white and black striped guitar)… He said he wrote all the solos that Dad wrote. […]
“I guess that’s all I can say. I seem to have been born into this Van Halen drama that has come way before me.
”And I guess now that my dad isn’t here to be a target, I guess he went to the next best thing.”

Wolf is very tactical in his response here to DLR.
Well done
Really is sad that this decades plus feud now includes Eddie’s son. What the hell Eddie is passed on get over it will you Dave. You have a chance to be a bigger man. But no now you have to attack his son.
Wolfy
just ignoring Pothead Roth…his brain is so fried he can t be himself. he blames people for his downfalls when in fact he made and built his own views and fictional thinking from drug use.
First and foremost DLR
Didn’t do half the stuff he said he did like the solos are eruption or Frankenstein. Considering DLR was and probably still is tone deaf. The problem is DLR is way beyond his prime still trying to be in the spotlight and truth is noone really cares anymore give it up already Dave go smoke your weed and get over yourself enough is enough already.
having known david since 15 all fame and fortune did for him was further insolate him from the real world that most of us have to deal with i think wolfgang answered it with class ,i spent enough time with david two records worth to know what singled out and picked on looks like ,he does not have the ability to stand outside himself and look back in , hes a verbal bully and has little sentiment for kindness or reserve ,not only did ed outclass him his son did an equal job ,bravo junior
DLR was a great front man in his time, but his time is way over! He needs to hang it up quit trying to take claim for Eddie’s work and leave Wolfgang alone! I love Wolfgang’s very mature response, it’s obvious he was raised well!
I saw Mammoth open for Alter Bridge and they were great! So entertaining and Wolfgang had such awesome stage presence and interaction with the crowd! Very impressive! I’m a fan!
Wasn’t Wolf in VH for a couple years with Dave as lead? If I remember correctly, Dave was recalling some stuff Wolfie pulled during that time. Has nothing to do with Eddie being gone. VH went through a few singers “for some reason” and everyone would rather blame DLR for everything. Please.
