In a recent interview with Billboard, HEART’s dynamic duo, Ann and Nancy Wilson, shared their excitement about hitting the road for their first tour together since 2019 and hinted at the possibility of crafting new music in the near future.
Ann expressed their desire to collaborate on new material: “Our main focus is to potentially create some new music together,” she revealed. “We’re not setting concrete plans at the moment. We prefer to live in the present and let things unfold naturally. After this tour, we’ll assess the situation and see where it takes us. But if inspiration strikes, you can bet it’ll be genuine and heartfelt. It’s just a matter of Nancy and I aligning our creative energies.”
Nancy delved into her recent activities, mentioning her revisiting of HEART’s demos and unreleased tracks with an intention to possibly revamp them for future projects. “There are a few unfinished gems that I’d like to polish up with Ann and our longtime collaborator, Sue Ennis,” she disclosed. “One standout track is ‘Sweet Deceiver,’ which never saw the light of day due to lyrical issues. I’ve been brainstorming new chorus lyrics ever since I first heard the demo. Additionally, the prospect of crafting fresh material excites me.”
She expressed her enthusiasm for the prospect of new HEART songs: “It would be fantastic if we could produce a song or two under the HEART banner. Nowadays, it’s more about taking it one song at a time, although the option of creating a full album still remains, which I personally cherish. There’s something special about experiencing an album as a cohesive journey, from start to finish.”
