Vince Neil, speaking with Loudwire Nights, revealed that Mötley Crüe isn’t planning to drop a new album anytime soon.
He emphasized the changing landscape of music consumption, stating, “I don’t think you’re gonna see a full-length album at any time. It’s easier now just to do a few songs at a time and release ’em in the right ways.”
Reflecting on the shift from album-centric listening to single-focused releases, Neil remarked, “Yeah, it just seems like a lot of work to put 10 songs together on an album when they all won’t be heard by anybody.” He highlighted the band’s approach of crafting songs to be directly enjoyed, as evidenced by their recent release, ‘Dogs Of War.’
Neil hinted at the possibility of more standalone singles, mentioning a track currently in the pipeline. “Yeah, I’d say more individual songs. We’ve got one in the can right now,” he shared, hinting at a potential release either by the end of the year or early the following year.
Tommy Lee echoed Neil’s sentiments during an interview with Australia’s Today show, expressing uncertainty about a full album’s prospects. “Well, we recorded three songs [during the same sessions in early 2023], and ‘Dogs Of War’ is the first one [to be released],” he noted. While not ruling out the possibility entirely, Lee emphasized the band’s enjoyment of capturing and sharing their current creative energy through individual releases.
