In Neal Schon’s recent Facebook interactions regarding Journey’s upcoming documentary, he expressed enthusiasm for the idea and hinted that they are waiting for approval from Steve Perry’s camp before proceeding. Here are the details based on the conversation:
Neal Schon shared photos from Journey’s Stadium Tour with Def Leppard and posed the question to fans about their interest in a new professional documentary about Journey. He mentioned they were awaiting approval from Steve Perry’s camp.
When a fan asked Schon about the responsibility or blame if Steve Perry chooses not to participate, Schon responded that while they would love for Perry to be involved, they wouldn’t want to close the door on the documentary simply because of his decision. Schon highlighted:
“We’d love Steve to partake in it, but if he chooses not to, I don’t think it would be right to close the door on us. After all, we’ve already done one documentary when ARNEL first came into the band now 17 years later and we’re back in stadiums. Steve also receives royalties from us ongoing for life so why would you wanna stifle something that you actually gain from?”
Schon’s remarks reflect a hopeful stance that the documentary can proceed with or without Perry’s direct involvement, emphasizing the band’s achievements and ongoing contributions to their shared legacy.

As long as they don’t blame everything that went wrong on Steve and they do the documentary correctly and truthfully, it should be good… As usual Neil is being a whiny crybaby
