Fans are speculating that Lzzy Hale could be the new lead singer for Linkin Park.
The Halestorm frontwoman recently posted a cover of Linkin Park’s ‘Crawling’ on Instagram, which has piqued fans’ interest amid the ongoing Linkin Park reunion rumors.
The timing of her post, which came right after the conclusion of Linkin Park’s countdown, has further fueled speculation. “The timing on this makes me think certain things…” one fan commented.
“Linkin Park singer?” another inquired. “Lzzy is there anything you’d like to tell us…..???” a third commenter asked Hale directly.
The 100-hour countdown by Linkin Park has ended, but the band’s future plans remain unclear. After the countdown video concluded, it experienced a glitch and began counting up from zero.
Shortly after, the band posted on social media, stating, “It’s only a matter of time…” Meanwhile, Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley has clarified that he is not part of these plans. He addressed the speculation after teasing an announcement coinciding with Linkin Park’s countdown.
Whibley wrote on social media, “I feel the need to dispel some current rumors. It’s been brought to my attention that many people think I could be joining a reuniting band. But I just want to say, despite popular belief, I am not joining Oasis… or Linkin Park. Or any other band for that matter.”
He added, “I have my own ‘tour and book’ announcement that I will now move to the end of the week, ahead of [Sum 41’s farewell] U.S. tour. I do look forward to seeing whatever both these amazing bands do in the future.”
