AC/DC fans are buzzing with excitement after hints emerged about the band’s potential spring/summer 2025 North American tour, with a possible announcement expected later this week.
The excitement started when several AC/DC fan pages reported the brief appearance of a Facebook event for an April 11, 2025, concert at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Though the event page was quickly removed, it had already fueled speculation among fans. The page had mentioned that tickets for the show would go on sale this Friday, November 15.
On Reddit, fans were already speculating on the details. One user pointed out the similarity to the Rolling Stones’ strategy from the previous year, suggesting, “Looks like they’re getting ready to roll them out – Rolling Stones did something similar last year where they randomly posted a date on Facebook. I guess testing it.”
Other fans, eager for more tour stops, suggested locations including Rockville, Pittsburgh, Maine, and Inglewood.
AC/DC’s last major tour, their ‘Power Up’ European leg, concluded on August 17, 2024, with a spectacular performance at Croke Park in Dublin. This tour marked the band’s first with their new lineup, which features singer Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney.
The 2024 European dates came on the heels of their highly anticipated return to the stage at the 2023 Power Trip festival in Indio, California. AC/DC’s previous tour, spanning 2015-2016, was one of their most successful, grossing $180 million and selling over 2.3 million tickets, as reported by Pollstar.
