During an October 31st appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, POISON drummer Rikki Rockett shared exciting news about the band’s plans to hit the road in 2026, marking the 40th anniversary of their iconic 1986 debut album, Look What The Cat Dragged In. When asked whether POISON would embark on a headlining tour or collaborate with another band, possibly as part of a larger stadium tour, Rikki, 63 (whose real name is Richard Allan Ream), replied (via BLABBERMOUTH.NET):
“It’s still up in the air,” Rikki said. “We’ve committed to at least 40 shows, but it could end up being more. The exact details are still being worked out, but we’ll definitely be doing a minimum of that many dates. As for touring with another band, if there’s someone we can pair up with that makes sense, great. If not, we’ll go ahead and headline the shows ourselves. We don’t know yet who will be touring that year, but if the right opportunity comes along, we’ll consider it. If not, we’ll do our own thing. As Bret always says, ‘If you can’t do it right, do it anyway,’ but rest assured, we’ll be doing it right. [Laughs]”
Back in September, POISON frontman Bret Michaels also spoke about the 2026 tour in an interview with the Arizona Republic. He explained, “Yeah, that would be incredible. We’ve got to work out all the details. The plan is to have all the original members, but there’s a lot of logistics behind the scenes. When I’m touring as Bret Michaels, it’s simpler because I make all the decisions. But with POISON, it’s a team effort. We all come together, and we make sure everyone’s on board. We’re hopeful that we can make it happen in 2026.”
