Fans of Van Halen are abuzz with excitement after a recent report surfaced about the possibility of a new album. According to a claim from Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the iconic rock band may be working on unreleased material that was left behind by Eddie Van Halen following his death in 2020.
Sources suggest that Alex Van Halen has teamed up with Steve Lukather, the talented guitarist and vocalist of Toto, to complete the unfinished tracks. The two musicians reportedly began collaborating on the project, with Lukather stepping in to help bring Eddie’s legacy to life.
Alex Van Halen spoke to the magazine about the partnership, stating, “Ed and Steve Lukather were very good friends, and they often worked together. There is no one who can do this process with me as well as he can.” When Steve Lukather was asked about the news, he supposedly replied, “Did Alex say that? Oh, in that case, the news is true.”
With this collaboration, fans are eagerly wondering if new Van Halen music could soon be on the horizon.
