Peter Criss Announces First Solo Album in 18 Years Featuring John 5 and Billy Sheehan
Peter Criss, the legendary drummer of KISS, has unveiled his long-awaited solo album after an 18-year hiatus. The upcoming rock album, scheduled for release this fall, will showcase a stellar lineup of musicians, including John 5 and Billy Sheehan.
“I have my new rock and roll album for you, Kiss Army guys, coming out in the fall,” Criss excitedly announced. “And I really hope you like it, man. And I wanna say God bless to each and every one of you.”
In a preview of the album, KISStorian Julian Gill shared his insights, highlighting the album’s hard-edged rock vibe. “Now, this is a hard rock, kick-a*s album, co-produced by Barry Pointer, who’s worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Fred Coury, Steve Stevens, amongst others, and, of course, John 5,” Gill remarked.
The album boasts an impressive cast of musicians, with John 5 and Billy Sheehan contributing their guitar skills. Matthew Montgomery (Piggy D.) will handle the bass, while Paul Shaffer brings his expertise on Hammond B-3 and piano. Mike McLaughlin (Angel) adds his fiery guitar work to round out the star-studded lineup.
This upcoming album marks a major milestone in Criss’s career, marking his return to solo work after a lengthy break from recording music outside of KISS.
