In a recent interview with The Rock is George Podcast, Poison drummer Rikki Rockett opened up about the band’s exciting future plans, especially as they approach their 40th anniversary milestone in 2026.
“Well, we’ve been in talks for a 2026 tour. It’d be a 40th-anniversary tour,” Rockett revealed. “We’ve talked about 40 shows for 40 years, maybe more, who knows?” These discussions suggest that Poison fans can expect a special tour to celebrate four decades of rock and roll.
Rockett also shared his vision for the band’s future beyond the 40th anniversary. “I think Poison’s kind of like on a 10-year plan like, ‘Let’s make it the 50th anniversary.’ Maybe we can do it, I hope so. I’m all for it,” he said, emphasizing his desire for Poison to continue rocking into the next decade.
However, he made it clear that the band’s longevity depends on their ability to perform at their best. “I have no reason to have Poison disband or go away. It doesn’t make sense like, ‘Why?’” Rockett explained. “Unless we’re just not doing a good job out there anymore, and at that point, we’ll know it.”
Rockett went on to express that he wouldn’t want to continue touring if the band couldn’t deliver the high-energy performances that Poison fans expect. “I’m not going to go out there and labor through a set trying to relive the old times if I can’t pull it off.”
With Poison’s 40th anniversary approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting what could be a major celebration of the band’s legacy, with exciting details about the upcoming tour already emerging from various sources.
