Ozzy Osbourne Confirms Final Live Performance in Birmingham: “I’m Giving It Everything I’ve Got”
On the latest episode of SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks, Ozzy Osbourne opened up about what will be the final live performance of his legendary career. The concert is scheduled for July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England — the city where the Prince of Darkness was born and began his journey into rock history.
Speaking with co-host Billy Morrison, Ozzy reflected on the emotional significance of this final bow, and offered an honest update on his health journey, which includes years of spinal surgeries and a public battle with Parkinson’s disease.
“I haven’t done any physical work for the last seven, six and a half, seven years,” Ozzy said. “By hook or by crook, I’m gonna make it.”
The 75-year-old legend revealed he’s working closely with a rehabilitation trainer in hopes of regaining enough physical strength to perform.
“I’ve got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It’s hard going, but he’s convinced that he can pull it off for me. I’m giving it everything I’ve got.”
Morrison asked if he was mentally stressed about the big day approaching. Ozzy’s response was as raw and real as ever:
“Sometimes, but what I do, if I start obsessing all the time, I’ll be insane by Friday, you know? So, I’m just taking it one day at a time… when we were talking about this [obsessive-compulsive disorder], whatever. I have that badly.”
Despite the health battles and personal challenges, Ozzy says his faith and determination are driving him toward that final curtain call.
“All I can say is I’m giving 120%. If my God wants me to do the show, I’ll do it.”
The July 5 concert is shaping up to be a historic farewell — not just for Ozzy, but for an era of rock music that he helped define. Fans attending the Birmingham show can expect a powerful, emotional send-off, and a celebration of one of music’s most enduring icons.
