Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil is going viral for all the wrong reasons after being fooled by an AI-generated image on social media — and openly flirting with what turned out to be a fake account.
On June 23rd, fans noticed that Neil replied to a revealing photo of a woman in a purple bikini and matching cat ears headband posted on Twitter/X. The post, clearly baiting for attention, was captioned:
“Can I dm you the n*dy version?”
The account is an obvious fake, featuring dozens of AI-generated images under the guise of a 23-year-old woman from Florida. Still, Neil didn’t appear to spot the deception. His simple and bold reply?
“Yea.”
Fans Call Out the Blunder
Neil’s comment immediately caught the attention of fans, many of whom were quick to inform him he’d been duped.
“Vince, this is AI, man. It’s fake,” one user warned.
“Vince, you’re gooning over an AI photo,” another added.
Several others expressed disbelief, while some admitted they weren’t even surprised.
“I was about to say he has been hacked but this is something Vince would definitely do?” one fan wrote.
“Vince Neil caught gooning in 4K,” another chimed in.
A third user simply pleaded: “Stop. This is embarrassing.”
A Pattern of Risqué Behavior?
This isn’t the first time Neil has attracted attention for his social media habits. Just weeks ago, after the public learned of his split from longtime girlfriend Rain Hannah (after nearly 15 years together), Neil was spotted commenting on another account offering risqué content.
While some brushed it off as rockstar behavior, others called it a sign that Neil might be struggling with public image and personal boundaries in the age of artificial intelligence.
Whether this was a harmless moment of online confusion or something more telling, one thing’s for sure — AI has officially fooled a rock legend.
