After last summer’s abrupt cancellation of their “Peace Out” farewell tour due to Steven Tyler’s vocal injury, Aerosmith never got to deliver a proper goodbye to their fans. Now, in a new interview, guitarist Joe Perry has confirmed that the band is seriously discussing one final performance.
“We’re talking about it. I mean, except for anything on the calendar, we’re all alive and well, so we’ll just have to see,” Perry said.
While Tyler has returned to performing solo since his recovery, the full band has yet to reunite on stage, leaving fans wondering if they’ll ever get the closure they were promised.
“I know there’s gotta be at least another Aerosmith gig, and I’m not looking forward to putting the set list together for that one,” Perry joked.
Can Steven Tyler Handle a Full Concert?
When asked whether Tyler could handle an entire set, Perry was cautiously optimistic:
“I think he would. I think it’s just a matter of getting there, you know? I mean, we’re up there, man. And it’s a lot,” he admitted.
The Show That Never Was
The original Peace Out tour was billed as a farewell celebration for one of rock’s most iconic bands, but it was cut short before reaching its finale. Fans were left disappointed — not just by the cancellation, but by the lack of a true final moment with the band all on stage together.
Now, Perry’s comments are reigniting hope that Aerosmith’s final bow might still be on the horizon — even if it’s just one more show.
