NIKKI SIXX, bassist for the legendary rock band MÖTLEY CRÜE, recently responded to a fan’s critical message regarding the behavior of his bandmate, TOMMY LEE. The exchange took place during a question-and-answer session on X (formerly known as Twitter), where fans had the opportunity to interact directly with the band.
The fan expressed their frustration with TOMMY LEE‘s actions, delivering a strongly worded message to NIKKI SIXX. The message included an ultimatum, accusing TOMMY LEE of behaving in a way that could alienate the band’s fanbase.
“Tell Tommy to STFU or you’re gonna lose the fans that got you the life you live now,” the fan wrote. “Pretty f-cked up. Easy to sh-t on probably more than half your fandom now. You’ll never get another cent from me, that’s for sure.”
In his response, NIKKI SIXX appeared to be unaware of the situation the fan was referencing. His reply suggested confusion about the incident that led to the fan’s frustration.
“I’m afraid to say but I have no idea what you’re talking about,” NIKKI SIXX replied. “Not sure what happened.”
This reply indicates that SIXX was unaware of the specific behavior the fan was upset about regarding TOMMY LEE, and it seems there was a miscommunication or misunderstanding about the situation.
The interaction between NIKKI SIXX and the fan underscores the ongoing complexities of MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s relationship with their audience. The band’s reputation has evolved over the decades, and so has the dynamic between the rock icons and their loyal fans.
The fan’s message reveals a level of dissatisfaction that some members of the MÖTLEY CRÜE fanbase may feel about recent actions or statements made by TOMMY LEE. However, the fact that NIKKI SIXX was not familiar with the situation suggests that there might be gaps in communication between the band members and their audience.
This exchange is a reminder of the challenges that come with being in a high-profile band like MÖTLEY CRÜE. Fans can become passionate and vocal, especially when they feel that their favorite band’s members are acting in ways that don’t align with their expectations. In this case, SIXX‘s response was measured and calm, reflecting the fact that not every fan complaint or criticism is always communicated clearly or understood fully by the band itself.
While the fan’s criticism was strong, NIKKI SIXX’s response was not defensive but rather focused on expressing a lack of awareness about the situation. His reply, “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” leaves the door open for more clarity from both sides. It also highlights the complexities of the public’s relationship with musicians, particularly when expectations and behavior don’t always match up.
This interaction also brings attention to the broader theme of public perception and communication in the world of rock music. Fans can sometimes feel disconnected from their favorite artists, and this lack of direct communication can lead to misunderstandings or feelings of alienation. NIKKI SIXX, by simply expressing confusion, shows that even high-profile rock stars like himself are not immune to these challenges.
As MÖTLEY CRÜE continues to evolve, both musically and in terms of its relationship with fans, moments like this serve as a reminder that navigating the world of rock stardom requires more than just playing music—it also involves managing relationships with fans who have a personal connection to the band’s legacy.

Perhaps the lol fan should SHFzi. Motley was created by anarchy which is best par. Sorry if that fan can’t handle anyone going against their beliefs
Ok Nikki Six,here’s what your bro Tommy Lee said ” anyone who voted for Trump is a D*ckhead ,we don’t want you a*sholes at our shows ” ………I was a die hard Motley Crue fan . ….not anymore……..btw ,you guys should have hung it up on the ” Final Tour ” instead you’re pulling a Kiss and trying to screw over Mick Mars really? ..don’t worry I’ll never be at another Motley Crue show again and everything I have up Motley Crue going all the way back to 1981 is now for sale ,enjoy !!!!
Mötley Crüe evolving is a f*cking joke. I mean they don’t play their instruments worth a thought. They got rid of the best songwriter they had their front man can’t seem worth a f*ck Nikki six has never been able to play music worth of sh*t.!! he’s a big sale out that is all about himself. He doesn’t give a f*ck about his crowd or the people that got him there.!!
So glad you cleared this up for all of us.
I wrote Tommy off years ago when he made similar comments and the rest of the guys off after the way they treated Mick. They are doing nothing but money grabs with their shows. Vince can’t sing, Nikki can’t play bass and they are using backing tracks like mad, what happened to them?!
When you get political you alienate 1/2 your fans and lose big chunk of them if not the entire half! Its not rocket science. Tommy STFU!!
Nice job explaining the issue. Six isn’t the only one who still doesn’t know, even after reading the article
So one fan doesn’t like what Tommy Lee is doing tell that fan to shut the f*ck up and quit being a little b*tch Tommy is just being Tommy. Let him be himself and tell that fan to get over it and shut the f*ck up!
