David Lee Roth delivered a blistering rock performance at the Hard Rock Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida, on August 3, giving fans a full-throttle, nostalgia-fueled night of Van Halen classics.
This stop marked the third date on Roth’s Summer 2025 U.S. tour, which is slated to wrap up on September 14 in Napa, California.
As with his other 2025 performances, Roth was joined by a seasoned live band:
- Al Estrada on guitar
- Ryan Wheeler on bass
- Francisco Valentino on drums
- Danny Wagner on keyboards
Together, they brought electric energy to the Tampa crowd, running through a 17-song setlist stacked with iconic Van Halen tracks and a few memorable covers.

🎤 A Return to the Spotlight
Roth’s return to the stage follows his first full solo concert in over five years, held earlier this year on May 3 at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, Maryland.
At that show, Roth humorously acknowledged his hiatus, saying:
“We’ve reached the end of my first retirement. How many retirements did Rocky have? Nine?”
His latest performances signal not only a renewed energy but a deeper appreciation for the legacy he helped build with Van Halen. Fans across the country are witnessing a living legend reviving the spirit of arena rock — and clearly, David Lee Roth isn’t done just yet.
