Vince Neil, the iconic voice of MÖTLEY CRÜE, returned to the stage for the first time in nearly 10 months last night (Friday, August 1) at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts. The performance marked his comeback alongside his solo band, sharing the spotlight with POISON’s Bret Michaels and RATT’s Stephen Pearcy.
While introducing the second song of the evening — a fiery version of MÖTLEY CRÜE’s classic “Shout At The Devil” — Vince took a moment to speak directly to the crowd.
“ Hey, thank you, everybody. It’s good to be here. I haven’t been on stage since almost a year now. I had a medical thing that happened to me, and they said I wouldn’t be back on stage here. I said, ‘F*ck that, man.’ And I’m back and I’m with you guys tonight. And I’m really proud to be here, man. Thank you so much.”
This marks Neil’s first live appearance since performing with MÖTLEY CRÜE at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California, back in October of last year. His long absence had sparked speculation among fans about the severity of his medical condition and whether he’d ever return to performing live.
Thankfully, the rock veteran proved the doubters wrong.
Neil hit the stage backed by his longtime solo band, which includes Dana Strum (bass) and Jeff “Blando” Bland (guitar) — both from SLAUGHTER — along with powerhouse drummer Zoltan Chaney.
For fans in Boston, the night wasn’t just another concert — it was a moment of triumph, grit, and rock ’n’ roll resilience. Vince’s no-holds-barred attitude and refusal to give in to medical setbacks reminded everyone why he’s still a force in the world of rock.
