Mötley Crüe made their thunderous return to Las Vegas on Friday night (September 12) at Dolby Live at Park MGM, kicking off a highly anticipated residency that almost didn’t happen on schedule. The residency was originally slated for spring 2025 but had to be postponed after frontman Vince Neil suffered a stroke last Christmas.
The show marked not just the launch of the band’s latest run of high-octane performances but also a triumphant comeback for Neil, who fought his way back to the stage after a serious health scare.
The Road to Vegas: Vince Neil’s Health Battle
Back in March, Mötley Crüe shocked fans when they announced that the residency would be delayed due to what they described as “a required medical procedure advised by Vince Neil’s doctors.” At the time, no further details were shared, leaving fans worried about the 63-year-old singer’s condition.
Neil has since revealed that he suffered a stroke during Christmas 2024, an incident that forced him to take time off and focus on recovery.
Speaking candidly, Neil admitted the health scare was life-changing:
“It was terrifying. I had to listen to my doctors and step back, which is something I’m not used to doing. But I knew I needed to recover fully before I could give the fans the show they deserve.”
A Setlist Packed With Crüe Classics
When the curtain finally rose at Dolby Live, the band wasted no time proving they were back in full force. According to Setlist.fm, Mötley Crüe delivered a 14-song set stacked with fan favorites, arena anthems, and a medley of rock classics.
