A brutal package of death metal bands arrived in Musikzentrum, Hannover, as Cannibal Corpse, Krisiun and Hideous Divinity came to beat the hell out of the audience. The venue for this sold-out evening was full of people from the beginning, and many other guys stood outside hoping to get a ticket. The people of Hannover were very excited as it seemed, and I was glad to be there at the moment. The tech death band Hideous Divinity began to destroy the minds of the people in the venue just from the beginning. Many heads of flying hair and a moshpit speak for themselves. I was surprised positively: the performance and music of the band as well as the sound was incredible. Nice start!
The Brazilian guys of Krisiun quickly entered the stage next. Just from the beginning, they freaked out all the people in the venue with their crazy death metal stuff. The hair flew harder and the moshpits became bigger and heavier. Bassist and frontman Alex Camargo always interacted with the people in the venue, thanking the support in Hannover often and introducing songs in order to headbang and create a moshpit. Most of the people followed the order without any resistance and got crazy. The spirit in the venue grew and created a lot of motivated headbangers. The guys were very sympathetic but also heavy as hell on stage. Krisiun is a great band live on stage, and it was also a very fine preparation for the headliner of the evening, of course.
Just before Cannibal Corpse began, we heard an announcement: “I have to tell you something from George. If someone smokes in the venue, while Cannibal Corpse is playing, George will come to your house and kill you and your family”. The audience laughed, and the venue was full at this moment. It seemed that most of the people had waited for the legendary headliner. They began with “Evisceration Plague” and the hair of the people and of the band flew from the very first second. The audience was at the peak of their crazy mood as they played a few tracks off their newest record ‘A Skeletal Domain’, but also classic tracks like “Make Them Suffer”, “Hammer Smashed Face” and “Devoured by Vermin”. The setlist contained songs from 10 or more albums. So, Cannibal Corpse played a wide spectrum of their stuff and the people in the venue were fond of this. Pure, brutal and neck-breaking… Cannibal Corpse were awesome as expected and the people in the venue loved it!
It was a pure slaughterhouse in Hannover. The death metal combination of Hideous Divinity, Krisiun and Cannibal Corpse was awesome, the sound at the evening was wonderful and this made the event more special. I’m glad to get this experience, right in my hometown!
