Levi Benton, frontman of metal band Miss May I, sat down for a chat with Matthew Powers of Metal Wani. The two began by discussing the challenges of keeping the band’s sound refreshed and how the new record ‘Shadows Inside’ arose to this task.
Next, the topic of the emotion behind the record came up in conversation as well as how that affected its sound. Levi also discusses the metalcore tag associated with the band and how the past few records have embraced more of a metal direction.
