Ahead of their return to Australian shores, Metal Wani’s Jake Patton got the chance to catch up with frontman Miland “Mille” Petrozza to discuss the forthcoming tour and the bands fondness for Australia.
They discuss the bands new record ‘Gods of Violence’ before touching on the band’s songwriting style, lyrical inspiration and whether or not the band writes about current events or prefers to write timeless lyrics.
They also discuss the meaning of ‘violence’ and how a band like Kreator uses the notion of violence to promote peace or peaceful activities; and just how that ties in with the ethos of the band. Switching tone to the bands history, they also investigate the experimental period of the bands history to discuss the songwriting during that period and if they would ever write another album along the lines of those albums; what drove the creative process of those albums and also discuss Mille’s thoughts on whether or not he would write a solo album.
They finally close out by discussing the future of the band and whether or not the band would perform a special show live with an orchestra, which generated an interesting response.
