During the interview Myles discusses why he decided to put his first solo album on hold and move onto working on his second solo album titled ‘Year of the Tiger.’ Myles feels that songs can have a shelf life, and after time he took a step back and realized that he didn’t want that first album to represent where he is now. His new Solo album ‘Year of the Tiger’ will be a concept album about his father. It will be a 12 track concept album that touches base on him losing his father at a young age. The album will also have a blues side to it. Hopefully will be released next year following a tour.
As for Alter Bridge, Myles said that they do plan on working on their 6th studio album for hopefully a 2019 release. They haven’t started working on it yet. Myles Kennedy had a chance to work with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham, when asked if the songs they played would ever come to light. Myles said that the experience was more of a jam session and nothing was recorded.
