GWAR‘s Almighty Berserker Blothar recently spent some time talking with Metal Wani’s Jake Patton about the impending invasion of Australia and the bands latest album “The Blood of Gods”.
They talk in length about what has motivated the Scumdogs of the Universe to return to Australia, including the depravity that the band witnessed during their last invasion of the country. They talk of the bands appearance at the Battle For Adelaide, Australia’s City of Churches where Blothar reveals what he would rather be doing than visiting any of the churches.
They then briefly touch on the sentimentality and importance of this tour for GWAR, being one of the last invasion sites of Oderus Urungus.
Blothar then promises that there will be blood during these performances and discusses the bands stage performance, before speaking about the arguments held between band members when selecting songs for such a tour.
They then talk about GWARs new album “The Blood of Gods” and the difficulty faced in the creative process without Oderus, before closing out by discussing the current plans for GWAR-B-Q in 2018.
