When Foreigner announced its 2018 summer tour in December, the special guest was listed as Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening.

While Bonham’s website still says Led Zeppelin Experience, we asked him if he did indeed change the name of his band, and if so, why? The answer is two words … Led Zeppelin.
Jason Bonham says, “They have plans for the terminology, Led Zeppelin Experience. And I was like, ‘Um, okay, but I need to keep the logo, JBLZE.’ One, I have the tag on my car, and two, I have a huge backdrop that I paid for last year. For me it’s about the music. So the name of it — I just wanted to keep the logo. So I said, ‘I got it. Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening.’ I don’t know what they have planned, but I said, ‘Okay, I will clear the way so they can do what they wish.'”
Bonham, who just came off the Rock Legends Cruise on Monday as a member of Sammy Hagar’s band, The Circle, will be back on the high seas Monday with Black Country Communion on Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea cruise.
