Since it was announced that Decapitated are coming back to Bucharest, I said why not to attend and see the Polish metallers for the 3rd time I guess, but also Thy Disease, I was happy to see them on the poster again along their Polish bros!
Well, the first opening band was Dehydrated, a Russian death metal band, but I’d call it brutal as well because of the band’s vocalist, Irina, which ”roared” for good, full of energy and the crowd seemed to like it. Grimaze was the next band that hit the stage, a death/groove metal band from Bulgaria, that I think they were supposed to be the first band to open the show, but the bands got late because of some maintenance at the border, but the Bulgarians made it on stage (didn’t see their entire show because I was fooling around for a while).
Thy Disease, the band I was waiting for to see on stage again! Nice is that I heard this band for the first time about two or three years ago, when they were on tour along Hate and Decapitated (hence, touring again with Decapitated), back then it was Syrus on vocals, even though a new vocalist, I liked their performance, they played new songs from the upcoming new album, too bad their show had to be short, I wished they could play at least one or two more songs from the last album released ”Costumes of Technocracy”( my favorite of them), but at least played one song and one of my favorites, ”Holographic Reality”. Next time I hope their show will be longer.
One more band before the headliner, Hatesphere from Denmark, a band that happily hit the stage and before to start the show, they seemed to already know the crowd that was waiting for them to start and indeed, the crowd liked them for sure.
Seeing Decapitated for the 3rd time, they never disappoint with their energy on stage, and no doubt the crowd is always crazy and headbanging to their songs. Songs like ”Anticult” and ”Bloodmantra” (one of my favorite songs) were played and yeah, you feel like you would headbang a little (more) on these good songs. The sound was good, not to mention Vogg‘s riffs that are insane, the brutal drumlines and of course, Rasta’s growls and the energy that he spreads around, it’s crazy!
A ”full” evening with 5 bands, two of them I was looking forward to see again, as I mentioned earlier, next time I hope that Thy Disease will do a longer show, is a must to see them, and Decapitated, if you want to headbang and get into the pit, they are one of those bands! Oh, and I’m happy I got myself a Thy Disease long sleeve, finally!
