2020 is going to be a huge year for Poison.
This was confirmed by frontman Bret Michaels himself in a new interview with Arizona Republic.
He said:
“Every other year. We’re out with the all-original lineup and it’s always out in the arenas and amphitheaters, having an amazing time. It’ll be great and hopefully, we’ll get to announce something really awesome coming up in the next month or so.”
When asked about the difference between touring as a solo artist and as POISON, he said:
“Honestly? I love doing both, and I think being out with POISON again, it’s who I grew up with. They’re still my great friends. We go out and have a blast. And then being able to do the solo stuff just allows me to continuously write new music and add it in.
He further added:
When we play Talking Stick, we’ll play all the POISON hits, a few different twists on some of them. And then with the rest of it, I get to throw in the new songs like ‘Unbroken’, and the songs from ‘Rock Of Love’. And it’s a pretty amazing feeling to be able to do both seamlessly.”
Back in the ’80s, Poison released some of the best rock anthems such as Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Cry Tough, Talk Dirty To Me, Rock And Roll All Nite, Fallen Angel, I Want Action, I Won’t Forget You and more.
Poison breakthrough happened in 1986 with the release of their debut album “Look What The Cat Dragged In”. The band was signed to Enigma Records and surprisingly this album became the best selling album on the label. The band ultimately got bigger and bigger over the years selling millions of albums and countless tours worldwide. Poison haven’t released an album in a long time and fans have been waiting for new music almost every year.
